The first or second photograph that visitors to the Governor’s Gallery will see is one I’ve previously published here and one I’ve had in several other shows. I still love it! I made this photograph right across the street from our house one evening late in April of 2006 as a new moon was setting just behind a neighbor’s Black Locust tree. People who see this photograph often comment, “Did you ‘Photoshop’ that color blue?” Rather than just responding “No way!!,” I suggest they may want to go outside on a clear evening and see it first hand. Really! The sky is this color blue for a few minutes on many clear evenings. Now to get the new moon and the tree lined up just right is another story. (The next new moon is June 27th.)
