Still Learning To See

Granite quarry, Graniteville, Vermont

jrs-2

Words like “timeless” fail to capture the sense I have being in one of the many abandoned granite quarries of Central Vermont. The calm water reflects a reality that is both real and dreamlike at the same time. The stained rock faces and remnants of long-ago human activity add to the dream. As is often the case, I find no need to change anything to be moved and engaged by what I see and share in this photograph.
