Still Learning To See

Art, sometimes where we don’t expect it

Wildfowl decoys have long been made and collected and, thankfully, appreciated for the art they are. Knowing they had a function and were created for that by hands that knew that—intentionally—results in their being art in the finest sense, full of life, expression and beauty. The Shelburne Museum has recently renovated the display space for their large collection of decoys, and I recommend it to you highly whether you are a hunter, an historian, artist or simply interested in what makes human beings the amazing creatures we are.

  1. Thank you very much for this beautiful post..& your inspiring words.. (food for thought)
“what makes human beings the amazing creatures we are.”

    What do you think?

‘Every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God’.. Hebrews 3:4

    Isaiah 40:26

No art without an artist.. (Wether we acknowledge ourselves as such or not..) No design without a designer..
