It is easy to just think “old cars.” They are cool even if they are a painful sign of the damage caused by our embargo, none being newer than 1959. It is, however, the people are really what Cuba is about. Our fellow human beings. Educated, hard-working, full of life, determined. Kids, old folks, working, playing. Not unlike people all over the world. They are what make a visit to Cuba special.

Only 90 miles away but we are cut off from each other. I am encouraged Obama will be there next weekend and look forward to continued warming of our political relationship with the country.
