Still Learning To See

Starting the year on ice

Ice-3924
As the Fates would have it, my walk today with my good friend Rob turned into a photographic extravaganza of another icy stream. Conditions were perfect, both for safe access and for gorgeous, mostly new ice in strong, diffuse light. An hour quickly turned into two—accompanied by the wonderful music of the falling water.

The images I brought back are a great way to start the New Year. Here is a gallery of some of them. I suggest you just click on one to make it larger and then scroll through them with left/right arrows; and go slowly, both to enjoy them and to allow time enough for them to load up fully.

J Snell I deleted the prior ice pics and I would like if you could send the first of ice you sent. There is one I found particular exotic and masterful that resembles ice flags… Thanxs RL Fromm

  2. Excellent series! Love the organic variety and undulations. Yes, water is a living thing even when frozen!
