Still Learning To See

Three weeks?!

In looking back over photographs made in the month of September in earlier years, I’m stunned to think what things may look like in just three weeks. Fall foliage is often at its peak here in Central Vermont by the end of the month. Some years it is a week or two later, some years it is mind-boggling and other years more brown than brilliant.

I love the fact that we never really know what it will be like until we are in the middle of it! A bit like life itself. In the meantime I’ll head out for a walk today with friends to enjoy the blue skies of this sunny, deliciously cool day.

John, Can I get enlargements of those two pictures? I’ll gladly pay, or trade from some of my original work, much as you want, there’s a tone of it. I have Vermont pictures all around in my apartment here in city new york.

    Hope all else is well.

  2. Your colors are early this year. The Colorado aspen are just starting to turn gold.
