Still Learning To See

Headlong into Spring

Spring is happening fast with a few days of rain, then some sun and temperatures in the 70s. The flowers have exploded into bloom and the bees are buzzing everywhere. The pear trees are in full bloom and the cherries and plums not far behind.

A cherry blossom, forced on a stem I pruned and brought inside several weeks ago. Outside the blooms should open later this week.

Growing Narcissus, often also called daffodils or Jonquil, is so special, both for their amazing fragrance and the wide variety of shapes. While I enjoy  them in big bunches in the yard, I especially love to pick great bouquets to bring inside. It doesn’t take long for me to get out the tripod and the closeup lenses and watch the light change and the magic happen. This is one of the main reason I love growing flowers!
