Still Learning To See

Getting ready for more snow…

More snow is coming! Maybe 20″ if, in my opinion, we are lucky!! And chances are good it will not be the last big storm either.

Because I know some do not share my enthusiasm for  late winter—they are just sick and tired of it all (or, worse, running low on wood or fuel)—I offer these photographs from a gorgeous bouquet of tulips, grown locally by Von Trapp Flowers.

Having fresh flowers this time of year, whether forced bulbs like these or cut branches of flowering trees, is just one of the ways I remind myself spring really is coming. I couldn’t resist buying more tulips today!

  1. I’ve always loved tulips! Such an amazing variety of colors!

Beautiful, John. We got only flurries from the storm. I still love winter, but many around here are plum tuckered out with snow. Good thing they don’t live in MI, upstate NY – or Vermont!
