Still Learning To See

A gathering of Paper Birch trees

This post is a detour from Botswana! Rob and I have gotten out with cameras several times this week. Still very cold and snowy and, in my opinion (not shared by many here), gorgeous. What a delight to walk on a bright, sub-zero day and see this lovely gathering of Paper Birch trees. I think of the many years these trees have been standing with each other and wonder at the conversations they’ve had.

Beautiful – one of my favorite trees! I, too, am still finding this winter beautiful. Very few in southern CT feel that way since this winter is far more than what they’re used to.
