John Shaw, the well-known nature photographer, once reminded us in a workshop to stick around after the sun had dropped below the horizon. He said the best of the sunset often happens after the sun has actually set.

Several nights this week we headed down to Lake Michigan to test the theory. I don’t know whether the actual sunset or the post-sunset was better. I also don’t care. Both were fabulous! Thank you John.
