Long ago I did a workshop with John Shaw, one of the great “nature photographers,” and learned so much in such a short time. When viewing a sunset he recommended us to “look behind!” Liz and I took a lovely late evening walk and the sunset, while spectacular, played second fiddle to the view we had when we followed John’s suggestion.
How often my mind is just in limbo somewhere—perhaps most noticeable sometimes when am I driving and realize I have not seen anything for a minute or two! There is no end to what can be seen when I am open to seeing. And turning around might just be interesting too!
