Still Learning To See

Being seen

Much of the world does not want to be seen by us. It gets along just fine without our seeing it. One such gorgeous creature is the Virginia Rail (Rallus limicola) which Rob managed to coax out of the marsh with a couple of playbacks of their call. What a delight to be in the presence of such a remarkable bird. Even more remarkable was how it would step a few inches back into the marsh and completely disappear! Such a gift to see a bird both beautiful and magical!

Terrific pic — am intrigued by the bird call app — which one is it?
