Still Learning To See

“Old” snow

A light dusting of snow here this morning. Enough to prompt me to dig into the archives and find some photographs made in past winters when we had some really fine snow. I enjoyed seeing them again.

Here is that magical spot where water, ice and snow all exist in shades of gray.

All snow here with different tone values of light.

A lovely pattern of cattail shadows in late afternoon light on windblown snow.

"Aging" snowshoe tracks and warm light create a fascinating pattern.

These very simple ones are my favorite.
    They are almost silent….
    not quite.
    Just very very quiet.
