Reflections offer a fascinating way to view life. I see reality indirectly and, often altered by the qualities of the mirror, I also see it differently than I see the reality being reflected.
Being distanced from reality can also allow me to see and learn from viewing a reflections in ways that viewing directly make challenging.
For me this is a good time to look at the reflections of the past four years, given how hard the direct view has been nearly every day. I see the pain, and now the relief, on so many faces reflecting that reality.
I know I have much to do to help make this old world actually be the place I want to see in the mirror, a place where we work together and where everyone is valued.
That is a beautiful way to imagine the world, even if the reality may still be different.
