Still Learning To See

Hanging out with the tulips

What a delight it has been to just watch the tulips over the past cool week, from a frosty night (top left) to a warmer morning (top right). Watching them in full sun, gorgeous bright overcast skies, evening light, and glowing as the light fades.

This is the first time in a number of years the deer have not devoured them as they formed buds. This year I see the buds open every morning and close every night and in mid-day just be wide open. Oh my!

Am I still learning to see these gorgeous things? YES!

This is just one group of a half dozen tulips, and there are hundreds of other blooms, mostly daffodils, in bloom at the same time!

What a delight it is to hang out in the flower garden and watch these tulips!

What a glorious set of photographs, John! Very glad the deer left them alone! 🙂

I admire your persistence in continuing to plant tulips in light of the last years’ tasty dinners provided to your local deer. Definitely, it’s paying off! Thanks for sharing these beauties!
