Among the Peonies

My apologies for having been away for so long. Perhaps traveling with me among these magnificent single Peonies, some with a slight pink blush and others pale yellow, will bring forgiveness to us all.

Peonies are a flower of my childhood, both because my mother loved them and grew them and because they appeared in several of the antique Chinese prints that graced our home. With little rain, this has been a wonderful year to enjoy them in full flower.
