Some days it is hard to imagine how we’ve come to be in these places we are now in. I’m sustained by and grateful for the family and friends I have, even as I also acknowledge many in the world do not have these same privileges (and even given that in my own families some things are challenging to discuss).
Here are some of the next generation (with my soon-to-be 98-year old father-in-law in the top photo). May they make progress where we have yet to.
Thanks so much, John–great to see you and even better to see all the family which surrounds you! 🙂
Treasure him as he stands. My mom was on her feet too just a month ago and reasonably with it and sharp. Then poof one month before her 99th birthday and she was down then gone.
“life is just a twinkling but such a fine thing”. Let us celebrate each person’s special talents and loves. They are what make the stars sing for us all.
Thank you for sharing this even in your sorrow. Yes, treasures all.
