My sister-in-law’s grandson asked me “Can I hold my baby cousin?” and then to assure me continued “I know how to make babies happy!” Clearly he does know how to make babies happy—it is undeniably true. Liz looks pretty happy too (above) as does my cousin-in-law Donna (below) who will be a grandmother for the first time in a few weeks.

I’d love to have the President-elect sit down for an hour or two with this lad and this gorgeous 7-week old baby so he has a chance to think more clearly what is really true in life. I think it will take more than 160 characters but it would be worth it.
