Time for Tulips

DSC00453This cool Spring has slowed down the growth of many plants and kept those that have bloomed flowering longer. The early Tulips are just coming on and are lovely. I love the way they open during the day and close for the night. Such beauty, even if only for a few days.

Hard to pick a favorite flower – or even a dozen – but tulips are right up there. Easy to see how they caused tulip mania in the 1600s (or whenever that was)!
