As you may know, I regularly meet with a group of six other local photographers to share our work with and learn from each other. Inevitably we also edge off into conversations that are not directly related to photography. Last week is was, not surprisingly, a conversation about the terrorist attacks that have been front and center in the news.
We did not solve the world’s problems AND we did each recommit ourselves to having our photography be part of creating peace among our fellow humans in the long and amazing tradition that stretches back nearly to the beginning of this art form. I don’t know exactly what that will look like for me but will keep you informed. In the meantime, simply sharing my work continues to be a way to connect with people and share my vision of what much of the world looks like.
These are the current projects I’m involved in and I hope you can enjoy them:
• The Savoy Theater: “Vermont in all the Seasons,” I mounted this show specifically to help the Savoy raise money by donating some of my work. If you enjoy my photographs and this gem of a theater, consider either buying a contributor or donor membership and be eligible for a drawing of any one of my photographs or buy a lifetime membership and chose any you like. When you go see a movie, enjoy the photographs on the lobby wall and think about how you might support this remarkable little theater.
• 13 Main Street: once again I’ll have work hanging at 13 Main Street, as will my fellow f/7 Group, this time as it becomes the educational and sales space for SunCommon from November 24th to December 27th. This great, local solar company wants folks to come in and will have not only art but several events to draw us in! The space will also be part of Montpelier Art Walk on Friday, December 4th from 4:00-8:00.
• City Center, Main Street: I have two new, large composite photographs in City Center which can be seen anytime the building is open as well as during Art Walk. I’ll be interested in your comments about these two pieces and hope to continue exploring how these new techniques can be used.
• Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont: again I am pleased to have two pieces (above) in the Member’s Show. This is a great chance to see not only my photographs but many other wonderful pieces of art of all types from the wealth of artists we have in Central Vermont. The show runs from December 4th through January 3rd.
Thank you for your continued interest in and support of my photography. I so appreciate the comments I get from you. You can see more of my work at either of these two sites:

Fine set; last two are excellent.
Thanks. Yes, these two hang next to each other and what a treat it is to see.
The silhouette shots are stunning and so serene and brutal all at once. I love these shots. Great job
Thank you. Yes, they are, such is life, right?!
