Still Learning To See

Going (more) places

A few more photographs from an upcoming show titled “Going Places” (with my friends in the f/7 Photography Group) that is part of Montpelier ArtsFest 2105.

A place I love to go is London! Over the years my dear wife has learned her way all around this amazing city and so she is my personal tour guide. Here is the fabulous London Eye (above) and a huge glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly in the main entry of the Victoria and Albert Museum (below).Going-2272

Your “Going (more) places” today leaves me with smiles, much like a double rainbow! Love them both, but most especially the Dale Chihuly…just frivolous fun!!

  3. Isn’t Chihuly FUN!? He took over Meijer Sculpture Gardens in Grand Rapids MI a few years ago & really made an impression! A Fabulous family outing of cousins who are old now.. didn’t diminish our enthusiasm at all.. Au contraire, mon Frere!

    Superb shots John..

  4. Yes, we got to see the Meijer Gardens with Chihuly. We also got to see his even more extensive body of work at the Kew Gardens in London in 2005. Fabulous to find plants and glass sculptures that were easy to mix up!

  5. We agree! Thanks for posting your lovely thoughts n pics! So often refreshing!

Wonderful shot and memories! We’ve seen some of Chihuly’s work in Tacoma and Seattle – total creativity!
