One week ago the hillsides exploded with color that rivals Fall foliage, although who cares which is better?!

So true, John–beauty comes in all forms, and none has to be “better” 🙂 Those trees were also beautiful when only their skeletons were showing in the winter.
But oh, the lovely, vibrant leaves of spring!
Dale and I were listening to a recording of Robert Frost reciting his poems as we drove out to VA. He commented that “gold is the first color of spring!” Truly these photos have captured that!
