While I’m happy to be moving toward Spring, even if slowly, I’ll miss seeing the bones of the bare trees that will soon to be covered again in leaves. They are like old friends with whom I have a conversation every morning when I wake up.
I love the changes that come with the seasons but I also love the familiarity that greets their return. So goodbye for now to the limbs of this Box Elder and Red Maple at dawn and Black Locust against the sunset last week. I’ll look forward to seeing you again in late October.
