Still Learning To See

Merry Christmas

To those of you who celebrate Christmas, I send my best wishes for a special day with family. Amidst all that has come to be piled on top of the day (buying, getting, money, politics, etc.) it can be challenging to even remember what the “spirit of Christmas” is about. But something is here that brings us together if we let is—as it is everyday in every person we encounter regardless of religion or belief. Today is a good day to remind myself of that.

My absence here for the past two weeks has been due to being in other places—London and Vienna—where internet was not easy and the days and nights so delightfully full there was no time to post. Here are a few images from Oxford Street in London, all made from the top of the double-decker #23 bus, our regular mode of transportation. It was fun to see the craziness but I was grateful I did not have to be in it all on the street level!
