Just two more weeks to the Solstice. It’s been snowing all day long, making for a very gray day. Not all are like this, of course, even if it may feel that way. Yesterday we had enough sun that the solar hot water heater raised the temperature of 70 gallons of water from 61F to over 100F, all while the air temperature hovered in the ‘teens.
While walking two weeks ago, I enjoyed the late afternoon sun breaking through snow clouds. The bare bones of the trees along the margins of the woods seemed to be talking to the clouds! Who knows?
Beautiful images – there seems to be so much depth and texture to the clouds, wonderful colors, too.
It was one of those afternoons! A few minutes later a huge cloud bank, full of falling snow, edged in and a few minutes later it was dusk—between the two events this was the last of the sun for the day.
