Still Learning To See

“Why I live here!”

My good friend and hiking pal, Michael, regularly comments about some of the magnificent scenery we see on our walks: “That’s why I live here!” We are so fortunate. Though, honestly, I also think one could (or has) said the same about many, if not most, of the places on this planet.

And it is not just the scenery but also the amazing people. I’ve been leading several walks around town this week—about trees, photography and our large in-town Hubbard Park—and the people who walked with me, some from Central Vermont and some from out-of-state, were just a delight walk with. Obviously, I think we live in a pretty special place.

This was the view of our Statehouse from Upper Main Street a couple days ago.
