Still Learning To See

Reflections of summer

I make no secret of how much I enjoy seeing reflections in water, especially of Vermont’s Fall colors. But we are still in the midst of summer here—hot days and (mostly) green leaves—so it was a delight today to find myself, with my good friend Rob, in the middle of a rushing stream with the maples high overhead intensely lighted by a bright sun.

How pleasant to just get lost in the magical swirls of color and the water’s textures.
