Still Learning To See

Previews of coming attractions

Every year I am surprised, but really not, by a few days toward to middle or end of August when it feels “fall-like.” I actually have to close windows and put on long pants! When I look closely, I begin seeing the sure signs of what is inevitable.

But the next phase, Fall, takes time, and I know it will still be three or more long months before I’m sitting here looking at snow accumulating on the remains of the garden, three months that are often spectacular. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy the gorgeous changes happening all around.

have noticed similar fall like signs – for me the cooler mornings as well as plant changes – even here in southern CT. Wonderful photos, as always.
