As I planned my trip to Botswana I was excited at the thought of seeing giraffes. I must say when I saw them, towering over the brush, I cried. They are gorgeous animals. Here are a few photographs:
The pattern among the various sub-species varies widely across Africa.
Getting a drink is quite an effort!
Larger “horns” like these are found on male giraffes.
The space they live in is above the rest of the world they live in.
This group was all looking at a lion, hidden from our eyes somewhere in the bush.
