Still Learning To See

Another magical day in the garden

Over the next several days I’ll be sharing a number of images I’ve made this week from my gardens. What magic it is to see the changes day to day or even hour to hour!

And, although I love sharing these photographs, please remember the real world—yes, the same one that also has rain, heat, pollen, mud and bugs—is even more wonderfully astonishing. I hope you can take time to be outside today, wherever you are.

WOW! These are remarkable, John–especially the ones of the spiders (whom I tend to like very much). You actually caught the little one throwing web lines! And I want to find out the name of the very striking yellow and red spider. A great mix of plants and these wonderful life forms.

    Thanks yet again 🙂

    • Thanks, as always, for your comments. I the spider appears to be a goldenrod crab spider. What I love is that I’ve continued to find it on the same flower—a tradescantia—for almost two weeks now. Yes, it was throwing lines around the bee fly though I missed the actual capture of the insect. As I was photographing the spider, it actually turned and got ready to attack me!! More photos of this little creature will follow!
