The cycle of the year

As I put the garden to bed, plant Spring bulbs, make tomato sauce and think about snow tires, I also smile remembering what a lovely month November is and how much I love the bitter cold, clear nights of February and, in my mind’s eye, I am already seeing the Crocus popping through the last of the March snow. The year is a cycle, one I feel so close to and never reluctant to move on into.

This is what our former Governor, Madeline Kunin, had to say about it today:

 

Even after 35 years of being here in Vermont, the colors of Fall astonish me.

Who could ask for more that the view of the Worcester Range from Sparrow Farm in October?
