Still Learning To See

Seeing both sides

Obviously I’m in love with flowers. Who would not be?! The see beauty like this renews my soul.

Light illuminating a flower from behind is such a joy.

Years ago I discovered the backs of many flowers have a special beauty all their own and I now take every opportunity available to see them that way too.

  1. thanks for your ongoing commentary, John. It’s nice to have this reflective moment. Yes, the beauty of the flower is a joy and the close-up macro view really can be a thrill. Often there will be a tiny insect lurking about that escapes the casual glance.

    • …yes, and beyond the tiny insect…more and smaller worlds and larger ones woven together from all we don’t see! Glad you are enjoying both this blog and the beautiful view from your backyard.

  2. It just flashed on me that your title “Both Sides” is synchronous (was) with your Judy Collins concert. Gotta know that she sang that song. By Joni Mitchell. The awesomeness of the J’s – Judy, Joni, Joan
