Still Learning To See

Peonies

The garden is full to overflowing with flowers. I fondly remember peonies from childhood, one of my mother’s favorite flowers. I’m making notes to move a few plants around in September and to add in a few more. What a celebration of riches!

I love your idea of what makes us “wealthy”–and when riches come to us in flowers and clouds and all the other fleeting beauties of nature, we know that “owning” things never makes us truly rich–but “noticing” them is very special. I really miss having flowers, since here by the river they are all “deer salad”–thanks for sharing all those wonderful colors and shapes!

What stunning beauty you share with us today, and a close touch with Mom! I’m breathing it all in, and find it extremely nurturing! I love you and all the gifts you share so generously with each of us! Thank you, bro!
