Still Learning To See

Finalist #27, the joy of the ride

It was from my parents, my mother in particular, that I learned life can be lived with joy. She never hide from the horror life also brings but it was joy that carried her forward until she left on her “last great adventure,” as she called death, at 96 years of age.

This simple, abstract photograph of the London Eye and a few clouds in a blue sky delights me and reminds me joy abounds. Mom would have loved the view from the top and the ride getting there!
