Still Learning To See

Finalist #3, Red Oak leaves and new snow

One of the great pleasures in my life is watching the transitions of the seasons. The leaves of a Red Oak (Quercus rubra) under a dusting of snow miraculously connect the lovely reddish-browns of late Fall to hundreds of shades of green of next Spring when the tree pushes forth new leaves. In the meantime, their minimalist beauty is a delight.
