Still Learning To See

Seeing (and eating) local

The garden is such a great place to see plants. Fantastic colors and shapes and textures. Leaves, fruits, roots—I could easily spend the rest of my life photographing only gardens and be very happy.

The bonus, of course, is I also get to enjoy eating what I’m photographing. This salad is 100% local (within 30 miles) and 90% very local (within 30 yards). What a treat, both from both a gastronomical as well as a photographic perspective.

Red and gold beets from Pete’s Greens and all the rest (snap peas, lettuce, spinach, arugula) from our garden.
