Still Learning To See

Summer green

Back in Vermont and the many greens of Spring have changed to a seamless expanse of Summer green covering mountains and hills. The fact that it seems to be a single shade of green is not to imply it isn’t impressive. To see it like this, especially in the rain, is truly awesome. Vert Mont in its Summer finery!

I’ll not be making photographs of my favorite stand of ferns this summer as I had to move them. What an opportunity to look elsewhere! I never tired of making photographs of that stand, however, and look forward to it growing back in some form. Even though I often see “the same things” I’ve seen in the past, the ferns always invite me to look beyond and see newly.
