One of the joys for me of living in the same place for many years is discovering places where a flower or a group of flowers grows and returns each year. A small patch of tiny gems called Bluets (Houstonia caerulea) grows near the stone tower in Hubbard Park. They have been a favorite of mine since we first came to Vermont almost 40 years ago. Liz and I found them again this weekend, as lovely as ever. Spring flowers are truly like old friends we see but once a year.
