Still Learning To See

Clearing space

As the snow melts and I am working in the gardens, I’m reminded of times I moved a stone only to find bulbs trying their best to push up into Spring. To me Spring is a bundle of promises. It won’t bloom with rocks in the way. I feel great about the space I found this week, whether through serendipity or my efforts matters little. No guarantees what, if anything, will come up but what is important is blooming is now possible.

In past Springs I've always enjoyed this small cluster of crocus in my upper yard. The bees love them too. This week I cleared away some brush so they have room to greet the year.
