Still Learning To See

Spring (inside)

This time of year can be a challenge, waiting for the “real ” spring to come forth. This is especially true after returning to cold weather from warm North Carolina.

I enjoy bringing in some Forsythia or spring bulbs forced in a pot. On a sunny day I also enjoy photographing these. There is such luxury in turning the vase, setting it at a comfortable height, positioning the flowers relative to the sun and shade.

Here are several photographs from a bouquet of mixed flowers I enjoyed several years ago at exactly this time of year. I used a set of magnifying filters having a very soft focus with interesting results.
