Still Learning To See

Launching a New Year

I spent a lovely evening with Liz and two dear old friends. A short walk up the hill found us in the midst of launching of the paper lanterns, a delightful way to celebrate First Night in Montpelier. Folks made several hundred lanterns in workshop during the day’s festivities and then several hundred of us gathered for the lighting of the flames and release of the lanterns into a cool, foggy evening. What a lovely evening!

You can see a few more photographs of the lanterns here. May your New Year be filled with pleasant surprises, lighted lanterns and Peace.
